Ensinger Inc. is offering a time-, labor-, and cost-saving solution with its extruded thin gauge high performance sheet. Manufactured by Ensinger subsidiary Penn Fibre, the sheet can be used to make four products: Gaskets, seals, wear plates, and spacers all can be cut from the sheet. The sheet is manufactured from Tecapeek, a polymer ideal for applications that require a high temperature or chemical resistance. Tecapeek is manufactured by Victrex Peek. Other materials are Tecapei polyethermide, an engineering thermoplastic suitable for low flame and smoke applications, and Tecapeek GF30, which is 30 percent glass reinforced and increases the strength and stiffness of the material, allowing designers to use thinner, lighter parts. Ensinger is headquartered in Tonyrefail, South Wales.
